Mrs. Dansberry's Bio

Amanda Dansberry is a primary and intermediate learning support teacher at Larry J. Macaluso (LJM) Elementary School.  This is her third year here at LJM.  Her first 7 years were spent at the Red Lion Area Junior High School with 7th and 8th grade learning support.  

She attended Lycoming College in Williamsport, P.A. from 1998-2002.  She graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.	After graduating from Lycoming College, Amanda attended Marywood University for an M.S. in Adult Clinical Psychology.	When working with students with special needs in Scranton, P.A. while I was attending Marywood University, I fell in love with children and wanted to work with them.  I returned to Lycoming College to earn my teaching certifications in Elementary Education (K-6), Special Education (K-12) and Social Studies Education (7-12).
