Introducing Mrs. Willwert
Mrs. Willwert is about to be an 18-time first grader! She graduated from Red Lion in 1995 and Penn State in 1999. She began teaching first grade at Mazie Gable Elementary in 1999 and after that first teaching experience moved to first grade at Edgar Moore Elementary for the next 9 years. When LJM opened, Mrs. Willwert began teaching first grade and has been working with the students and families here at LJM for the past 7 years.
Mrs. Willwert lives in the Red Lion area with her husband, Rob and stepson, Cade. They enjoy cheering on the Nittany Lions of Penn State (We Are...) and the Philadelphia Eagles (Fly Eagles Fly).
In her spare time, Mrs. Willwert loves to spend time with her two boys, shop, read, watch the fish and frogs in her fish pond, and decorate her house.
Wonder why she's always been in first grade? First, Mrs. Willwert considers herself blessed to have had the opportunity to stay a first grader for so long! While it is true that every grade is important, she strongly believes that the foundations children experience in the primary grades build the platform for all that is added on in future years. The growth she is privileged to be a part of for first graders is the main reason she hopes to stay a first grader for many years to come.
