Action Based Learning™ Lab

The Action Based Learning™ Lab is a series of progressive stations that are designed to prepare the brain for input and processing.  The concepts in the Action Based Learning™ Lab are based upon brain research that supports the link of movement and physical activity to increase academic performance.


Traverse Climbing

On traverse climbing walls, students move horizontally while using hand and foot holds of different shapes and sizes.  They build the physical skills of strength, balance, and coordination, the interpersonal skills of communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution, and the cognitive skills of planning, decision making, and problem solving.


Fitness Bars

Students are introduced to a wide variety of strength training exercises using our fitness bars.  These bars come in several different weights to meet the needs of every student.


FITNESSGRAM®

FITNESSGRAM® is a comprehensive fitness assessment battery for youth.  It includes a variety of health-related physical fitness tests designed to assess cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and body composition.  Standards associated with good health have been established for children and youth for each of the health-related fitness components.  Students can use FITNESSGRAM® results when planning their personal fitness programs.


GeoMotion®

GeoMotion® is a hybrid between step and dance class.  Numbers, directions, and geometric names cue students and help them learn beginning steps and combinations before progressing to more advanced hip-hop, latin, and partner dances.


Heart Adventure™ Challenge Course

The Heart Adventure™ Challenge Course is a grueling aerobic workout that provides students with an opportunity to travel through the four chambers of the human heart.  The workouts are supplemented with information about the function of the circulatory system.


Kids Heart Challenge

Fundraising event for the American Heart Association® that aid the fight against heart disease and stroke and reinforce the lifelong habits of eating properly, exercising, and staying tobacco free.


Sport Stacking

Sport Stacking requires students to move cups through various stacking sequences that are designed to improve hand-eye coordination, quickness, and ambidexterity.
