Ms. McCune has been working in York County school districts since 1994 serving in many positions including teacher aide, assistant, day to day substitute, long-term substitute, Envirothon coach, and classroom teacher, finding each experience to be exciting and fulfilling. She enjoys teaching students of all ages and considers herself a life-long learner. Ms. McCune grew up in North Royalton, Ohio (near Cleveland), earned her bachelor's degree from Cleveland State University in 1989 and her master's degree from Penn State in 2008. She now lives in Martinsville with her husband, John, and her Lab/Australian shepard, Ziggy.  Her husband works for Yorkshire Apartments in York as a plumber and HVAC technician. Ms. McCune has a new granddaughter, who lives with her parents in Norristown.

When Ms. McCune is not teaching she keeps very busy.  One of her favorite activities is reading.  She also enjoys singing, playing and teaching the piano, playing card and board games, cooking, gardening, relaxing with friends and family, and playing out at various local venues. Ms. McCune's family also likes to listen to music, visit the beach, and spend time with relatives around the world.
