Mrs. Jennifer Strobeck is the reading specialist/literacy coach at Larry J. Macaluso Elementary. During the 2016-2017, Mrs. Strobeck will be supporting students and teachers in Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 3, and Grade 5 in the areas of reading and writing. Mrs. Strobeck works with small groups of students during ROAR and other intervention times throughout the day. She also supports teachers as they plan and teach language arts lessons. She serves as a knowledgeable resource for both parents and teachers.
Mrs. Strobeck graduated from York College Pennsylvania with a degree in Elementary Education in 2002. She began her teaching career as a fourth grade teacher at Locust Grove Elementary. After two years, she remained at Locust Grove, but moved to second grade where she remained for 4 years.P to work on her master's of Reading degree and completed the program in 2007. In 2008, a reading specialist position opened up at North Hopewell Winterstown, and she was thrilled to join the team. She has worked in this role for the past 9 years at various schools throughout the district including: Pleasant View, Clearview, and the past two years at Larry J. Macaluso Elementary.
Mrs. Strobeck is married and has two little girls. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, scrapbooking, shopping, and vacationing at the beach. Her mission is to help students and teachers grow in all areas of literacy.
