Bio Page

Mrs. Jami Smith is a fifth grade teacher at Larry J. Macaluso Elementary, and is very excited to begin her fourth year teaching Reading and Social Studies. In addition to teaching at Red Lion, she is alumnus of the Red Lion School District, graduating in 1995. She is a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania, where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (K-6) in the winter of 2011. She is currently working on a Master's Degree to become a Reading Specialist.

Jami served as President of South Central Reading Council for the past two years. She is currently serving on the Board, as Past President, promoting literacy in York and Adams Counties. Her affiliation with this organization has been enlightening and has connected her to a network of literacy advocates around the state of Pennsylvania.

In addition to teaching, Jami enjoys spending time with her husband, Glenn, their three children Brady (16), Blake (14), and Bryson (10), and their 2 Goldendoodles Winnie and Whisper. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at her cabin in the mountains with her family, reading, hiking, and shopping.
